Ari is an immigration attorney specializing in artist visas, as well as a variety of other employment and family-based immigration cases. Ari also has experience litigating federal civil rights matters. He received his J.D. from CUNY law school, where he participated in the Immigrant & Refugee Rights Clinic, representing clients in pursuing numerous forms of relief, including asylum, cancellation of removal, and temporary protected status. Also during law school, Ari interned with the Staff Attorney’s Office for the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit. Ari is a member of the American Immigration Lawyers Association (AILA) and the New York State Bar Association.
Ari earned his B.A. from Manhattan School of Music, and prior to his legal career maintained an active career as a saxophonist, performing and/or recording with a range of artists including Steely Dan, Jane Monheit and Wynton Marsalis.
